Key Responsibilities- Prepare and execute monthly, quarterly and annual area sales plans to achieve sales, revenue, volume, outlet coverage, SKU mix, new-product placement and collection targets. Reporting to the Managing Director, who will oversee all core departments- Operations, HR, Finance, Sales and Marketing and R&D- to drive production, compliance, profitability and scalable growth. The ideal candidate should be an operationally disciplined and commercially proven leader who builds effective systems and teams. Functional Knowledge- Strong grounding in food-safety and quality systems (FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, EHS). Working knowledge of ERP/MIS systems for production planning, costing and reporting. Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 (where applicable), EHS requirements and all other food-safety and statutory standards. Ensure readiness of sites food-safety and quality-governance, ensuring audit readiness, documentation, corrective actions and timely closure of non-conformities. Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and minimise unplanned downtime, including critical utilities such as compressed air, water, ventilation and ETP systems. Establish and enforce factory safety, health, environmental, hygiene and housekeeping standards across all operational areas. Liaise with statutory and regulatory authorities, including FSSAI auditors, Factory Inspector, Pollution Control Board and other relevant Govt. departments and ensure timely licences, renewals, inspections and compliance submissions. Lead capacity planning, new production-line implementation, automation, equipment upgrades, facility expansion and capital expenditure proposals in line with business growth plans. 3. Finance & Accounting- Work closely with the Finance & Accounting Lead to prepare, monitor and control annual budgets, including raw material, manpower and overhead costs. Review monthly financial statements, cost variance reports and cash flow to ensure the factory meets budgeted operating profit and working capital targets. Drive cost-control and cost-optimisation initiatives across procurement, production and logistics. Ensure timely, accurate MIS/KPI reporting (production vs. plan, cost vs. budget, sales vs. target) to Management. Own full P&L responsibility for the factory, prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts and capital investment plans. Monitor financial KPIs, implement cost-control strategies (raw material, labour, energy, packaging) and identify margin-improvement opportunities. Review daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports on production costs, batch costing and profitability, presenting findings to Management. Ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and support finance staff in reconciliations and cash management. Evaluate ROI on capital expenditure, new product lines and expansion initiatives. 4. Human Resources- Manage HR Lead on manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, compensation structuring and HR-policy implementation across all departments. Build leadership depth and succession plans for department heads and other critical roles, particularly as the organisation expands into new departments and operations. Develop a strong internal leadership pipeline by identifying high-potential employees, assigning developmental responsibilities, coaching managers and preparing capable successors for key positions. Oversee new product introduction (NPI) timelines, ensuring quality, compliance and cost targets are met before commercial launch. Build a culture of continuous product and process innovation across the factory. Oversee new product development timelines, ensuring alignment between R&D and factory production departments. Guide custom product development for key B2B clients and ensure formulations meet food safety and cost targets. Sales & Marketing- Manage the Sales & Marketing teams to align production planning with sales demand, new product launches and seasonal, promotional requirements. Lead by example and support market expansion, new business development and build and maintain relationships with B2B clients and key accounts, negotiating on favourable commercial terms. Review sales trends and customer feedback jointly with the marketing team to inform product and capacity decisions.
